In what has turned into a yearly tradition, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team recently introduced its four-rider squad to the media at its corporate offices and race shop in Murrieta, California. All four of its factory riders were present, including 2021 Monster Energy Supercross Champion Cooper Webb, its newest member Aaron Plessinger, long-time KTM rider Marvin Musquin and the team’s lone 250cc rider Max Vohland.
KTM also used the opportunity to unveil the 2022 KTM Factory Edition models, which will also be available to the public in limited numbers. The new Factory Edition KTM’s are closely based on the bikes that the factory team will be racing in 2022.
The bikes are new from the ground up, and all the team riders had extremely positives things to say of their new mounts, which they just recently got to ride for the first time. All of them agreed that the chassis and handling were the biggest improvements over their previous race bikes.
Good friends Webb and Plessinger said they are happy to be teamed up again after first racing together back in their Yamaha days; they look forward to the upcoming season.
Over the weekend, the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Team held a meet-and-greet with the media at the Baker Factory in Florida. On hand were 450cc riders Dean Wilson and Malcolm Stewart, and 250cc riders RJ Hampshire, Jalek Swoll and Stilez Robertson.
Husqvarna also introduced its all-new FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Edition models. CN
