Álvaro Fidalgo adapted quickly to Club América and he has become one of the best players in Liga MX during the 2022 Apertura tournament. The Spanish midfielder, from Siero in the north of Spain, helped the ‘Eagles finish in first place in the standings and to remain undefeated in the last 12 regular season games.
Fidalgo a proven player for América
The 25-year-old played all 17 regular season games with Club América and he has been the most productive player on offense under manager Fernando ‘Tano’ Ortíz. Álvaro Fidalgo was involved in 18 of the 38 goals that the capital-based team scored in 17 games during the 2022 Apertura tournament.
It didn’t matter if it was at home or on the road, the Spanish midfielder helped Club América with two goals and four assists. Fidalgo was also involved in the majority of the goals that the Eagles scored with 92% completed passes (332) on offense, the most by any player in Liga MX this campaign.
Since Álvaro Fidalgo arrived at Club América during the 2021 Clausura tournament when Santiago Solari was in charge, his market value has gone up according to Transfermarkt. The Liga MX side paid $1 million to Castellón in January and now his market value has gone up to $6 million.
